So I had this little idea the other day. I was trying to think of interesting ways to make some cash before going to Uni (which is in about a month's time) and somehow this crazy thought entered my head: I'll try and make a million dollars, by selling 1,000,000 pixels, for $1 each. And so 'The Million Dollar Homepage' is born...

And now this guy is a millionaire. If only I thought of it first I wouldnt have to bother with scholarships and stuff. Maybe I should just quit working and bum around and think of million dollar ideas.

Once Upon a December

One month has vanished now where have I been? For now I've returned from my accidental hiatus. Hola!

December was a beautiful end to the year :)

Prom was surprisingly enjoyable albeit being a total ripoff with substandard food. I still congratulate myself for spending on nothing more than the neckless I wore :) I snapped 99 shots this time compared to the 300+ at the rgs prom. People generally become more apathetic as they grow older. Or maybe it was the guys ha.

I've had projects coming my way even though minglee.biz wasn't and still isn't anywhere near completion. And while everybody else was looking for a job I was offered a design attachment which also means that I get more say in terms of remuneration and length of contract. I need more creativity I need flash8 I need to learn scripting I need upgrading...

And driving is fun! First lesson and I was already hitting the roads around ubi. Still rather unfamiliar with the clutch-accelerator tango. I swear my instructor modelled his hair after phuachukang. But he's a nice guy.

The novelty of being around children wears out after you've done the same thing over and over for 6 years. I was helping out in the usual school holiday camps out of obligation and ohboy, kids these days are monsters. There was this 6yrold kid who spoke as if the fword was the first word he ever learnt and peeped at girls from under the table. The worse thing ever about peeping is proclaiming what you had seen and that was exactly what the little brat did. Geez little pervert. Then there was this other boy who knew how to run before he learnt how to walk he just kept zooming everywhere and was unstoppable.

Oh and handbell carolling this year wasn't that bad. Our esplanade performance has been recorded in their archives :)

But what made the month all so gratifying were the little gatherings with family and friends. It's like your whole life in summary meeting everybody in succession and recalling the old times and laughing and drinking along with it. And then the month ended with a bang. With many bangs in fact.. the fireworks were magical.
As I always say it's never the place or event, but it's the company that matters :)

And so that's december in a nutshell.

Now I'm playing so hard I'm even more tired than during the Alevels, coming home only for sleep. Amazing really it feels like it's been 3 months after As already. I love my life :) :)

For the first time in my life I can say fmaths was easy thankgod.

And I admit I have this shameful aversion for checking answers after papers. No point really since you can't change anything. The only thing I can possibly do after knowing the right answer is to worry and regret which is really not my thing. Got to move on.

And before we know it it's all over I really hope we kicked some Alevel ass! So many things to look forward to right after :)

Am surprisingly relaxed, watching discovery and starworld now more than ever before. And i'll soon be a maestro at the rate I'm visiting the piano :)

You know what happens when the whole world says a paper is okay?
It just means the bar would be raised anyway, vice versa.
Why rejoice?

There's no escape really.

Everytime i think of my next paper I dream of when it's all over. And then my memory skips back to a year ago, when I was sitting with Fsu handing out the Alevel results to 03 batch. The girls all looking older than their age and the guys easily spotted with all the cool caps we wonder why ... and before that i thought 4As were a given, but I thought wrong.

Soon we'll have been there done that.

The thing about council is that it puts you through the same experience at least twice. Talk about mental preparation i should have done that a year ago...

Tomorrow marks the end of my first week of prelims and also my FIRST morning paper! It's been alright. And in fact I was having quite alot of fun with econs today. Found much amusement in my last minute 2cm PPC diagram I almost burst out laughing but I masked it behind an innocent cough.

But the sleepness nights are driving me crazy.
Convoluted thoughts of 3D trigo in the nth dimension and particle mechanics in helical paths and coming out with maths formulas for GP and econs and just meshing everything together is just what my mind does when I lie in bed.

And then I get SMSes at 3am and I know I'm not alone :)

But it's been alright.

Talking to sheralyn makes you very very high :) Not good in the face of your first prelim paper but on the bright side it's very good stress relief! All the better when you have a certain common topic of horror stories and nightmares.

Check out the IpodNano.
It's actually 3.5 x 1.6 x 0.27 inches and not all that small.. which also means that (if you take a look at that hand holding the nano) the thumb over there must be aover a whopping 1inch thick! So much for advertising gimmicks!

I finished a whole jumbo tube of pringles (+40g free). All by myself. In one day. At one sitting. Shrimp and pepper flavoured. And I'm still craving for more. I've come to the conclusion that Pringles are undoubtedly the most addictive potato chips on earth.

Each chip is perfectly engineered to curve with such elegance such that it wraps itself perfectly around your tongue, with the middle portion seasoned in a much higher concentration than the rest of the chip so you get that enriched flavour where it matters.

I can't believe I'm devoting an entire entry to a pringles potato chip.
But then again I was thinking, that since I'm at it I should jolly well go all the way...

Doesn't the pringles mascot look quite like an aged monopoly man? Less hair, puffier cheeks, still the look of class and wealth for he was cashing in gazillions of monopoly money at his prime.

Haha ok I think I should stop. This is what happens when you don't want to think of physics. Nor econs or maths for that matter.

And I've resorted to irritating this guy. Haha i like the acting!
